What is Pilates?
Pilates is an exercise system developed by Joseph Pilates to strengthen muscles, increase flexibility and improve overall health. Exercises are performed on a mat and on specifically designed equipment. The Pilates system includes exercises for every part of the body and applications for every activity.
Janet Vaughn (Owner) opened her Pilates Studio in 2008. She has a passion for teaching and functional movement Certified Pilates instructor for 21 years, studied through Body Balance. Has a BS/Exercise Science – Member of Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) – Janet’s personal commitment to continual learning has brought her through training with, Peak Pilates, Stott, Body Arts & Science, The Center for Women’s Fitness and Franklin Method.
